This test winner is one of the market's lightest hiking boots with Gore-Tex. The model is stable and comfortable. It has a Vibram Megagrip outsole, so that the shoes sit extremely well on wet surfaces. The midsole is based on a trail running shoe, so you get the cushioning and stability you want in a light hiking shoe.
