From the remote Chinchipe valley, in Northern Peru’s province of San Ignacio, 20 like-minded producers combine their output under the name Nehipe, a historical homage to the river & native people of the area from which they directly descend. The Nehipe River provides the water source for their coffee growing, livestock and native forests. This deep connection with the land and river is an evident part of their ethos with organic farming practises, a standard in a remote area that has always worked in tandem with the land.
